In separate filings to Bursa Malaysia today, MMC Corp and Gamuda said their joint venture (JV) unit MMC Gamuda KVMRT (PDP SSP) Sdn Bhd (MMC-Gamuda) has entered into a supplemental agreement to the PDP agreement with Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp).

In a statement today, the PMO said the government will implement an 18% reduction in toll charges on private vehicles plying PLUS-owned highways as early as Feb 1, 2020 to ensure there will be no toll rate hikes until the end of the 38-year concession between 2020 and 2058.

“Any decision on sale from a governance point of view needs to be done properly through the current owners of PLUS, that is Khazanah and EPF. That part has not started.”

The recordings painted a clearer picture on how the then-prime minister interfered with Malaysian authorities to avoid prosecution, and sought help from the United Arab Emirates to help his stepson Riza Aziz who had been named in a US Department of Justice civil suit.

The three are former Eastern & Oriental Bhd (E&O) managing director Datuk Seri Tham Ka Hon (RM4.18 million), former Fututech Bhd chief executive officer Loo Soo Long (RM2.11 million) and Chu Yoke Fong (RM1.39 million).
